This was our last big trip of the year, and we couldn't have chosen a better time or place to go. Kauai was beautiful, and there was so much to see. One of the things that we really enjoyed about it was driving around the island and seeing all the fun places where films have been shot. Some of those pics are in our gallery. Check it out!

Photos from Costa Rica 2007

This year was a good one for vacations. We got to escape to Costa Rica for a week and a half during one of the coldest weeks of the winter. It was perfect down there (between 85 and 90 degrees), and we got to see a lot of cool beaches and jungles. The highlight of this trip was the Rainforest Canopy Zip-Line tour. There were also some huge crocs. See for yourself!

This is a sweet gallery from our 2007 trip to Arizona. We had a lot of fun escaping the cold weather this year. We were very surprised to see how many animals were out and about on the grounds of the resort though. You can see our pics here.

Here are some pics from our trip to Kona where we visited some of our friends and spent a lot of time in the water. We had a blast snorkeling, fishing, and lobster diving. It was a wonderful trip, and we had some great self-caught seafood dinners! Take a look at our photo album!

The Yucatan 2003 - Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins

Here's a 10 minute video summary of our 2003 Tour of the Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins in Mexico's Yucatan coastal region. We really enjoyed the trip, but visiting these popular ruins is like going to a Mayan Disneyland. The place was flooded with tourists. It would be nice to go sometime when it's less crowded and take a two week long self-guided tour of the sites. There's really too much to catch in just a few hours. Next time we go, we'll be sure to shoot more video of ourselves in addition to the sites. Barbara did make a cameo appearance in this one though. You'll notice her in the early stages of the stair sequence before we ascend up to where the sacrificial altars are. BTW - John thought that the jaguar with jade eyes and spots was pretty cool.

Belize 2003 - Lamanai Mayan Ruins

This is a 10 minute video summary of our 2003 Tour of the New River and Lamanai Mayan Ruins. This trip was one of the best. Our guide was the best, and the site was a lot quieter than Chichen Itza. Plus, this one seemed a lot more mysterious because there were a lot of buildings still buried under thick jungle there. We saw a lot of random animals on the river tour too. Very cool overall!
